Part four: THE RED TAPE!

Property disclosures, contracts to purchase, housing laws, deeds, title and loan requirements… its almost endless.  In fact, my office has 124 forms on our paperwork page.  Not only are you responsible for finding every piece of paperwork that needs to be filled out, but you are also then on the hook for making sure that every last line is filled in correctly or you will be stuck with an executable legal document that is NOT in your favor.  Between your realtor, their business administrator, managing broker, and then the title agency, you have multiple layers of professionals making sure everything is accurately filled out.  The best news is that they are also insured in case a mistake is made! For most people, selling their house is the biggest financial transaction they will make. At the end of the day, 2-3% is not much for the peace of mind of knowing it was done correctly.
